Business Name Approval

Submit your proposed business name for approval. d3 will verify that the name aligns with UAE naming conventions and reflects your creative identity while ensuring no conflicts with existing registrations.

Application Submission

Complete and submit the formal application package including all required documentation, creative portfolio, business plan, and space requirements. This comprehensive submission forms the basis for your license approval.

Creative Business Plan Review

5-7 days

d3 authorities evaluate your business plan with particular attention to creative vision, market viability, and contribution to the design community. This review may include questions about your creative direction and growth strategy.

Initial Approval

2-3 days

Receive initial approval confirming acceptance into the d3 community. This preliminary approval outlines the terms of your license, space allocation, and fee structure based on your specific creative business model.

Space Planning Consultation

Work with d3's design team to plan your space layout, technical requirements, and any customizations needed for your creative operations. This collaborative process ensures your space will support your specific design activities.

Fee Payment

Pay the required fees including license fee, registration fee, space lease, and any applicable deposits. Payment plans may be available for emerging designers and creative startups based on portfolio strength.

License & Lease Issuance

Receive your official d3 creative business license, registration certificate, and space lease agreement. These documents formally establish your presence within the Dubai Design District community.

Space Fit-Out

2-8 weeks

Begin the process of designing and fitting out your creative space according to d3 guidelines. The district provides support for connecting with approved contractors familiar with the technical requirements of creative spaces.

Bank Account Opening

1-2 weeks

Open a corporate bank account with one of d3's banking partners who understand the financial needs of creative businesses. d3 provides introduction letters to facilitate this process for design entrepreneurs.

Visa Processing

7-14 days

Apply for residence visas for creative directors, designers, and staff. This process includes medical examination, Emirates ID application, and visa stamping, with special consideration for creative professionals.

Community Integration
